How to play

Navigate. Answer. Improve.

Cyber Flight Academy turns certification practice into an interactive mission. Fly the cybersecurity drone, reach checkpoints, and answer certification-focused questions as you progress.

Your training mission

1

Choose your certification

Select the certification you are preparing for. Cyber Flight Academy builds a certification-specific practice mission using the configured practice target, domain mapping and blueprint recorded for that training bank. The active question banks were expanded and refreshed on 28 August 2026, and every installed practice question includes four answer choices plus a learning explanation.

2

Get ready for take-off

Every new or restarted session begins with a 5-second countdown. Use this time to get comfortable with the controls and focus on the flight area before the drone starts moving.

3

Control the drone

On desktop, press Space, use Arrow Up, or click the game area to climb. On mobile, use the dedicated BOOST DRONE button. The drone descends naturally when you are not boosting.

4

Navigate certification-specific cyber hazards

Obstacle types are matched to the certification you selected. Depending on the course, you may encounter firewalls, malware, phishing, ransomware, DDoS traffic, botnets, rogue Wi-Fi, zero-day vulnerabilities, credential attacks, exposed cloud storage, API attacks, insider threats, data exfiltration, honeypots and other relevant hazards.

The obstacles appear at random heights and use dynamic, less predictable movement during flight. Choose whether to pass above or below each hazard and adjust your timing carefully. The ceiling and floor are also flight boundaries — touching either one will end the flight, so keep the drone safely inside the playable area.

5

Answer checkpoint questions

When a checkpoint is reached, the flight pauses and a certification-specific scenario question opens. Read the full question before selecting the answer you believe is BEST, MOST appropriate or should be performed FIRST.

Every 3 minutes of active flight time, the mission pauses at a checkpoint. A short congratulations screen appears before one certification-specific scenario question opens. Time spent reading or answering the question does not count toward the next 3-minute checkpoint.

6

Review feedback and continue

Correct answers are highlighted in green. If you answer incorrectly, your selection is highlighted while the correct option is identified. Use the feedback as a revision point before returning to the flight.

7

Complete the practice exam

Your score, progress and accuracy are tracked throughout the session. Restarting creates a new randomised run, including question order, answer positions and obstacle placement.

Mobile play

Designed for landscape

For the clearest view and easiest control, Cyber Flight Academy is designed to be played in landscape orientation on phones and tablets.

Rotate to landscapeIf the device is held in portrait during an active session, the game will ask you to rotate before continuing.
Use the BOOST DRONE buttonOn mobile, use the dedicated BOOST DRONE button to make the drone climb. This avoids accidental double-tap zoom and keeps the flight controls predictable.
Stay inside the flight areaThe ceiling and floor are collision boundaries on mobile too. Keep the drone clear of both while flying above or below obstacles.
Mobile-sized questionsCheckpoint questions use a compact landscape layout, with safe-area spacing to keep content clear of notches and screen edges.
Stay in the sessionAvoid switching tabs or applications while training. Leaving the page will stop the active attempt and require a restart.

Practice tips

  • Read the entire scenario before selecting an answer.
  • Watch for words such as BEST, MOST appropriate and FIRST.
  • Use incorrect answers as revision points and review the underlying topic after the session.
  • Remember that obstacle movement is subtle but continuous, so allow a little clearance when flying above or below a hazard. Keep the drone clear of the ceiling and floor as well — both count as collisions.
  • Restarting generates a newly randomised practice run.

Keep your training session active

Once a practice session has started, please remain on the Cyber Flight Academy page until the attempt is complete. Leaving the page, switching browser tabs, or moving to another application will interrupt the active session as part of the platform's training-integrity controls.

If the session is interrupted, the current attempt will be stopped and you will need to restart the practice session from the beginning. This helps keep results consistent and ensures each attempt is completed under the same training conditions.
